According to the legal community on the 15th, Jeong (37) submitted an appeal to Chief Judge Park Ji-won of the Seoul Western District Court's Criminal Chamber 1 on the 9th.
Chung was put on trial on April 4 on charges of breaking into Park Na-rae's house in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, stealing money and valuables, and running away. In a police investigation, he stated that `I entered without knowing it was Park Narae's house.' However, at the time of the crime, the damaged goods were reportedly very expensive and were caught after selling them as stolen goods.
In addition, Jeong has a history of being arrested for stealing from another house in Yongsan-gu at the end of March.
Earlier, the first trial court sentenced him to two years in prison for stealing and invading houses at night. The court said that "the defendant admitted the prosecution and returned money and goods to the victim, and expressed his intention to turn himself in" but added that "he has a criminal record of the same kind, the damaged goods are expensive, and the victim is pleading for severe punishment." was identified as the reason for the sentencing.
On the other hand, A and B, who were indicted on charges of taking over stolen goods (fault acquisition of stolen goods), were fined 2 million won and 3 million won, respectively. They did not appeal, so the ruling of the first trial was confirmed as it was.
