Mimi Minu (real name Kim Min-woo, 30), an entrance exam content creator, has been sued by a YouTube channel cast member for defamation and insults.

According to the police on the 21st, Seocho Police Station in Seoul received a complaint against Kim from a woman in her 20s earlier this month and launched an investigation.

In the complaint, Mr. A "Kim Min-woo seriously damaged his reputation by mentioning untrue content during the broadcast."It is known that he wants punishment."

A appeared on Kim's YouTube channel in February last year. However, after the broadcast, controversy grew as the online community raised the suspicion of stealing laptops in high school students, and the content was eventually deleted.

At the time, Kim read some comments related to A, mentioning that "the suspicion was confirmed to be true" during a live broadcast.

In the complaint, A reportedly claimed that he suffered mental distress due to this, and that he was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder (bipolar disorder) and even made extreme attempts.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-woo is active under the name of 'Miminu' and is operating mainly on entrance examination, study, and mental management contents.

He drew attention with his 'Story of Entering the Department of Public Administration at Korea University after 5 steps' and currently has about 1.87 million YouTube subscribers.

He was once called a 'admission mentor' among test takers and expanded his influence, but this controversy has dealt a big blow to his image.

The police will investigate the complainant and the accused sequentially and then examine whether Kim's remarks are true and the possibility of defamation.
