ElleUK was embroiled in a controversy over racism when she posted a photo excluding group Blackpink member Rosé earlier. Rosé attended a fashion week in Paris last month as a global ambassador for luxury brand Saint Laurent and took pictures with Justin Bieber's wife, Hayley Bieber, British pop star Charlie xcx, and actor Joe Kravitz, but Elle UK edited the pictures to show only three others except Rosé, who is standing on the right, and posted them on social media.
As a result, netizens criticized Rosé for posting photos on Instagram, and controversy over racism arose.
ElleUK said on its official account on the 3rd, "We sincerely apologize for the recent Paris Fashion Week post in which Blackpink's Rosé was cut for photo size issues"We didn't mean to offend anyone. The post has been deleted.'
Rosé wrote to Saint Laurent Creative Director Antony Vaccarello on his personal account, "Thank you for inviting me to the amazing show. Your work is really beautiful. I love you."
Elle UK urgently apologized, but public opinion is still cold. The aftermath of the racism controversy is likely to continue.
