Dr. X's top actor, I thought he was out of action because of health issues..the shock of the investigation into drug charges

Japanese actor Ryoko Yonekura, famous for the drama 「Doctor X」, is embroiled in a drug scandal.

On the 11th, the Japanese weekly magazine 'Ju Munchun' reported that "The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's Ministry of Health, Drug Enforcement has launched a full-fledged investigation into Ryoko Yonekura on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.' According to the media, he is accused of possessing illegal drugs at home.

Since Ryoko Yonekura began her investigation in June, her activities have been closely monitored for about four months, according to the magazine. In August, a high-end apartment house in Tokyo was subject to seizure and search, and suspected substances were reportedly secured there.

The investigation made great progress on 20 August. A house search was conducted in Ryoko Yonekura's apartment. This home apartment is also a 'Nest of Love' where Ryoko Yonekura lives in a semi-living room with the Argentine dancer A, whom she is dating.

Two days after the raid, Ryoko Yonekura traveled to Europe and traveled to London for about two weeks. Media sources said they have obtained information that "highly contains illegal ingredients".

After returning home, Ryoko Yonekura refused to appear at the renewal opening event of the Ginza headquarters 'BARNEYS NEW YORK' on September 17, and later scheduled events were canceled one after another.

In response, fans and some in the industry say that in addition to simple health problems, drug investigation allegations may have been the actual cause of the cancellation of the schedule.

Currently, Ryoko Yonekura has not expressed any position on the allegations.

Ryoko Yonekura is an actor widely known to domestic fans for his Japanese dramas 'Love Revolution' and 'Dr. X~Daimon Michiko~'.

In 2019, he revealed his battle with cerebrospinal fluid loss, and in 2022 he dropped out of Broadway musical Chicago due to acute low back pain and sacroiliac joint disorder.
