Hwang Minhyun to Star in 'Study Group 2' Immediately After Military Discharge

A source in the entertainment industry said on Sports Chosun on the 23rd that `"The original TVing series 'Study Group', which was popularly aired, will return for season 2. Hwang Min-hyun is scheduled to start filming in the first half of the year after being discharged from the military." In response to this, Pledis Entertainment is in the position of "discussing". 'Study Group' is a comic high school action film in which Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Min-hyun), who wants to study well but is gifted only in fighting, forms 'Study Group' to survive the worst school. It was filmed by Hwang Min-hyun before joining the military, and viewers' reactions continued explosively after it was released. In particular, 'Study Group' was loved a lot, ranking first in the number of new paid subscribers to TVing for five consecutive weeks. Not only in Korea, but also overseas, it achieved TOP5 rankings in 143 countries in the first week of the broadcast of "ViKi" and ranked first in four countries: VIU Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan. As a result, interest in the production of season 2 was also high.
Hwang Min-hyun is currently serving as an alternative social service worker and will return to his fans' side after lifting his call-up on December 20.
