Kim Ho-joong, a drunk hit-and-run, reveals a handwritten letter in prison...I won't repeat the same mistake
Singer Kim Ho-joong, who is in prison for drunk driving hit-and-run, expressed his remorse and determination in a handwritten letter.

In a recent letter to Song Young-gil, CEO of the Pine Tree Party, Kim Ho-joong said, `Everything is my fault.' `I will learn more about the humility of life here, and I will cut and cut to become Kim Ho-joong who does not fall to the same place by the same mistake as David.'

CEO Kim Ho-joong and CEO Song Young-gil formed a relationship while living in the same building while they were imprisoned at the Seoul Detention Center in the past.

CEO Song had a difficult time talking to Kim Ho-joong when he was imprisoned on charges of illegal political funds.

On the 3rd, CEO Song disclosed Kim Ho-joong's letter on his SNS, saying, `I recently visited Kim Ho-joong, who moved to Yeoju Somang Prison with my wife, and his face looked exceptionally clear"I read his true feelings from the letter," he said.

"I believe that while the fault is indelible, the true reflection and the heart for a fresh start should be respected" he added.

Meanwhile, Kim Ho-joong is accused of violating the central line in May last year while driving drunk in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, crashing into a taxi on the other side, and making his manager turn himself in instead. Kim Ho-joong was indicted on charges of violating the law on aggravated punishment for certain crimes (hazardous driving injuries). However, dozens of hours after the incident, the drunk driving charge was not applied because it became impossible to measure alcohol consumption by attending the police and applying the Weedmark formula.

The first and second trials sentenced Kim Ho-joong to two and a half years in prison. Kim Ho-joong appealed against the ruling, but his sentence was confirmed when he gave up his appeal in May. The scheduled release date for Kim Ho-joong is November 2026. However, parole is also possible when more than 1/3 of the sentence is completed.
