According to the registry office, Min Hee-jin established a new entertainment agency 'OOK Co. Ltd.' on the 16th and completed corporate registration. It has been confirmed that the headquarters is located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Min Hee-jin is listed as an in-house director, and the CEO is still vacant. Business purposes included △ celebrity management agency △ music and record production and distribution △ performance and event planning and production △ brand management agency △ broadcasting program production △ mobile platform and content development.
In addition, various items such as △ clothing, food and beverage, and household goods sales business △ publishing, books, and travel-related services were listed. It is interpreted that it has set its direction as a comprehensive entertainment company that encompasses content and lifestyle beyond entertainment agencies.
This is the first time that Min Hee-jin has made an official move since leaving the door. As there was no external activity until recently, the establishment of a new corporation is seen as a step with the intention of taking into account after the NewJeans exclusive contract lawsuit.
On the 30th, the court will sentence the first trial of a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Adore against five NewJeans members. If the court rules in favor of the members of New Jeans, there is a possibility that they will head to former CEO Min's new company, OK.
However, some observers say that it is difficult to be optimistic about the results, as all members of the New Jeans have already lost in two provisional lawsuits. The court judged that each member is liable for 1 billion won in damages at a time if NewJeans engages in independent activities.
In an emergency press conference in November last year, the members of the New Jeans declared the unilateral termination of the contract, saying, `Unreasonable treatment within ADOR continued.' Since then, he has attempted independent activities under the new team name NZZ, but the activities have been suspended due to the court's provisional injunction citation.
