The U.S. media Variety reported on the 22nd (local time) that `Lee Jae has signed a contract with the WME and will start full-fledged global activities.'
WME is a mega-agency with global artists such as Black Pink Lisa, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Gosling, Hugh Jackman, and Matt Damon.
Lee Jae gained global attention by singing the song of Rumi, the main character of the Netflix animation 'K-pop Demon Hunters', and writing and composing the OST 'Golden'. The song was unusual for an animated OST, topping Billboard 'Hot 100' for eight consecutive weeks and also topping the UK's official charts.
In addition, he participated in a number of OST works, including 'How It's Done' and 'Your Idol' of Lion Boys. In particular, the OST of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' set a new record, with four songs making the top 10 at the same time for the first time in Billboard's history.
