Yang Su-seung attended the National Assembly inspection of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul on the 13th and explained directly about the case in which he was evicted after entering a building under the condition of 'donation debt'.
In 2019, Yang Chi-seung opened a fitness center in a commercial building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and spent hundreds of millions of won to remodel the interior. However, in November 2022, the business was closed after receiving an eviction order from the Gangnam-gu Office because the building was a public facility subject to donation.
Donation collection is a system in which private businesses use public facilities for a certain period of time and then attribute them to the state or local governments for free. The building was supposed to be managed and operated by the Gangnam-gu Office after the 20-year free use period ended, but it turned out that this was not notified to the tenants, including Yang Su-seung.
In response, Yang Su-seung testified that "No lessor, licensed real estate agent, or Gangnam-gu Office has ever been informed that the building is subject to donations." The tenants then thought 'It would be safer because the state ran it', but the result was the opposite.'
In addition, Yang Su-seung complained that the Gangnam-gu District Office had filed criminal charges against him and other tenants on charges of unauthorized use of public property, saying, `Most tenants became criminals overnight.'
The amount of personal damage revealed by Yang Su-seung totaled about 1.5 billion won, including 350 million won in deposit, and the total amount of damage, including other tenants in the same building, was about 4 billion won. The number of companies affected has reached 16.
Yang Chi-seung "There are a lot of people who are so unfair. I'm here to announce this"There were too many lies and tricks," he stressed.
