Kwon Ji-an was appointed as an official honorary ambassador for the 'APEC 2025 KOREA World Coloring K-Art Special Exhibition' (hereinafter referred to as the APEC Art Special Exhibition) to be held in the exhibition room on the first floor of the Gyeongju Culture Expo Grand Park Cultural Center in Gyeongsangbuk-do from the 1st to the 14th. This exhibition is part of the cultural diplomacy program of the APEC 2025 Summit, involving 21 Asia-Pacific countries, and is a large-scale special exhibition involving more than 120 artists.
Kwon Ji-an introduces the present and future of K-art to leaders around the world as an ambassador for the 'APEC Art Special Exhibition', while participating in the exhibition and presenting original works as an artist across the stage and canvas. Until now, it has already attracted attention at home and abroad through work that combines popularity and experimentation, and this special exhibition is expected to drive the global spread of K-art.
Kim Jong-won 'APEC Art Special Exhibition'Artistic Director Kwon Ji-an is not just an artist, but an icon connecting culture and society. Her artistic identity, which freely crosses the stage and art, is most suitable for conveying the message of the exhibition, 'a sustainable future connected by art' to the world, he said, explaining the background of her appointment as a public relations ambassador.
In particular, Kwon Ji-an has steadily expanded the value of 'empathy and healing through art' by carrying social messages in his works. In this APEC special exhibition, it plays a symbolic role in establishing K-art as a key asset of cultural diplomacy that leads to communication between countries, not just cultural content.
Ji Seung-ho 'APEC Art Special Exhibition' Chairman of the Steering Committee and Gyeongsangbuk-do Branch of the Korean Art Association "This special exhibition is a journey of K-art starting in Gyeongju and spreading to the world. I am confident that the creativity and vision of Korean art will be more widely spread by artists with a global sense such as Kwon Ji-an."
Meanwhile, Kwon Ji-an is steadily working as an artist. Currently, the first solo exhibition is being held at Tilsit Gallery in Portugal, and the first solo exhibition will be held at the Daegu Metropolitan City Complex Cultural Space Hearing Center from the 14th.
