86-year-old Kim Dong-gun said, 'The viewers are the most grateful.'



With the 40th anniversary of the 'Song Stage', which has been going on since 1985, MC announcer Kim Dong-gun deeply greeted the viewers through a written interview.

KBS1TV 'Kayo Stage' is a famous traditional song with calm nostalgia and memories that have continued since 1985. Every Monday, announcer Kim Dong-gun is hosting the top entertainment program. In particular, Kim Dong-gun joined the company as an announcer in 1963 and served as the representative host of Korea, and has been hosting the 'Song Stage' for 33 years as the most senior of the current and former announcers who hold regular programs every week.

Among them, announcer Kim Dong-gun expressed his feelings about the 40th anniversary of the 'Song Stage'. Announcer Kim Dong-gun said, `Thank you the viewers for your unwavering love and encouragement for the program for 40 years"If there were no viewers who loved and waited for the K-pop stage, how could they have done it for 40 years. I'm grateful to the artists and staff who have been on the show for 40 years, but I'm also thankful to the viewers who have clapped, cheered, and waited for me for a long time," he said with a special thanks.




As for the driving force behind his 33-year career as an MC, he said, `As a person who loves singing, I feel very rewarded when I see people enjoying the K-pop stage.' `Of course, there were times when I had a hard time, but when I went to Libya, Germany, and Brazil and saw Korean-Americans welcoming and enthusiastic about the K-pop stage, I felt that my hard mind disappeared and I should work harder for them", and the driving force behind the current 'Song Stage' and 'MC Kim Dong-gun' being able to spend a long time with them was the support of viewers who extended to overseas compatriots, which impressed them.

Announcer Kim Dong-gun then cited the most memorable cast members who were broadcast on Memorial Day of Patriots and Veterans Month. Announcer Kim Dong-gun said, `It was my wife's story that she kept the watch left by her husband in her heart all her life after receiving her husband's notice of death, but now she can't even cry because her tears are dry and she makes me tear up when I think about it now.", he said, leading the 'Song Stage' for 33 years, and cited it as the most touching moment.
