The late film director Kim Chang-min saved four lives and died from brain-dead organ donation.

The Korea Organ tissue donor (Director Lee Sam-yeol) said on November 7 that Kim Chang-min (40 years old) saved four lives with brain-dead organ donation at Gangdong Sacred Heart Hospital and left as a star in the sky.

Coach Kim Chang-min was diagnosed with brain death on Nov. 7 after collapsing from a cerebral hemorrhage on Oct. 20, and he saved four precious lives by donating his heart, liver, and kidneys (both sides) through brain-dead organ donation.




Director Kim Chang-min directed 'Anyone's Daughter' in 2016 and 'Anyone's Daughter' in 2019 and 'Anyone's Daughter' received the Best Director Award at the 2016 Police Human Rights Film Festival, about a daughter with a sex offender as a father who moves around to avoid attention.

In addition, he has actively participated in various genres and scale drawing teams such as 'Captain Kim Chang-soo' (2017) 'Witch'·'Witch King of Drugs' (2018) 'Asylum: Ask the Sky' (2019)'Rain and Your Story' (2021)'Firefighter' (2024) and gained hands-on experience in the movie scene.

The family hoped that manager Kim Chang-min would wake up, but as time passed, his physical condition became worse and he struggled because he seemed to give pain as he waited.

Director Kim Chang-min often conveyed to his family that he wanted to donate to save other lives at the end of his life, so the family decided to donate, hoping to do something good and leave on the last way.

Director Kim Chang-min, who was born in Seoul as the eldest son among one son and one daughter, has been interested in music and movies since he was young due to his delicate and meticulous personality. After being discharged from the military, he started working on film production and communicated with the audience through the writing team, screenplay, and directing.

Director Kim Chang-min liked to listen to other people's stories and wanted to share his mind with people through the movie. He is a warm person who wanted to talk and comfort people by bringing their pain and difficulties out into the world.




Director Kim Chang-min's father wanted to become a film director to fulfill his dream of telling your story in a movie, and now your works are out in the world, and you are leaving with the fruits in front of you. I will make a film festival in your name so that you can see it from the sky, so please take care of yourself in the sky. I love you.," he said in greeting.

Lee Sam-yeol, director of the Korea Organ Organizational Donation Institute, said "I would like to thank the donor Kim Chang-min and the bereaved families for their warm love for putting life into practice." The love that Kim Chang-min, who wanted to talk to the world with a warm gaze, shared at the end of his life became a miracle to save lives and became the beginning of someone.
