On the 11th, a sentence trial was held for the Taldeok concentration camp accused of defamation and insults under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection at the Incheon District Court's Criminal Appeal Department 1-3.
As in the first trial, the court maintained the original ruling, which sentenced the Taldeok concentration camp to two years in prison and three years of probation, and ordered a fine of 210 million won and 120 hours of community service.
The court rejected the appeal, saying "In light of the various sentencing conditions, the sentence of the lower court does not appear to be too heavy or light."
From October 2021 to June 2023, Taldeok concentration camp was accused of defaming Jang Won-young and seven other celebrities by posting videos on his channel 23 times. The Taldeok concentration camp was found to have collected 250 million won by disseminating fake news such as 「"Jang Won-young's jealousy prevented fellow trainees from debuting."
In January, the first trial court sentenced Taldeok concentration camp to two years in prison and three years of probation. In response, the prosecution appealed, saying the sentence was low, and the Taldeok concentration camp also appealed, saying the sentence was heavy and the order for additional fines was unfair.
