On SBS PowerFM 'Kim Young-chul's PowerFM', which aired on the morning of the 25th, Kim Young-chul mentioned the news of Lee Soon-jae's death while hosting the '8 o'clock news' section with reporter Jeong Sang-geun.
He "That's really unfortunate news. Early this morning, national actor Lee Soon-jae passed away. He carefully delivered the sad news.
Reporter Jeong Sang-geun introduced his life and achievements in detail, saying, `Lee Soon-jae, an original actor and the oldest active actor, died early this morning at the age of 91.'
After hearing the news, Kim Young-chul introduced the message of a tearful listener, saying, `The actor's funeral feels like his old mother has died.'
He prayed for the repose of the deceased, saying, `He was respected and loved by his juniors in the entertainment industry as well.'
The late Lee Soon-jae passed away on Nov. 25. He was 91. After graduating from Seoul High School and Seoul National University with a degree in philosophy, he made his debut as the first KBS talent and worked as the oldest active actor in Korea. It was greatly loved as a masterpiece that left the image of the 'national father' such as 'What is love?' and 'Bathroom men'.
Since the end of last year, rumors of health abnormalities have been raised, and earlier this year, he/she made his/her last public appearance by receiving the grand prize for the drama `Gae-Sori' at the KBS Entertainment Awards2024. Since then, he did not participate in the Korean PD Awards in April.
