Japanese singer Maki Otsuki, famous for the theme song of the cartoon One Piece, was suddenly removed from the stage during a performance in Shanghai, China.

According to the video filmed at the scene on the 28th, Maki Otsuki was singing and singing with the audience, and the atmosphere was heated up to the fullest. Suddenly, however, all the stage lights were turned off and the accompaniment stopped immediately.

After that, two staff members, who appeared to be involved in the performance, came up to the stage in a hurry and delivered something to Maki Otsuki. After hearing this, Maki Otsuki looked surprised enough to open her mouth wide, and immediately followed the staff off the stage.




The audience had no choice but to look at the stage with a blank expression because they did not know the reason.

Maki Otsuki's agency announced that the Shanghai performance was `unilaterally canceled on the same day.' The reason for the suspension of the performance was not clearly disclosed.

This is not the only time a Japanese singer's Chinese performance has been canceled. Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki decided to suspend the performance the previous afternoon with a notice from the organizers that "the factor of force majeure" ahead of the Shanghai performance on the 29th.
