A man in his 30s who was sentenced to prison in the first trial for breaking into broadcaster Park Na-rae's home and stealing tens of millions of won worth of money will continue his trial on appeal.

According to the legal community, the 2-1 Criminal Department (appeal) (B) of the Seoul Western District Court is scheduled to hold the first hearing of the appeals court on January 22 next year for Jeong (37), who was indicted on charges of theft and night-time home invasion.

Jeong was sentenced to two years in prison in the first trial held in September. At the time, the court said "The defendant admitted the crime and returned the money and goods, but he had the same criminal record, the size of the damaged goods was large, and the victim pleaded for severe punishment."I judged. Chung reportedly submitted an appeal immediately.




Chung is accused of breaking into Park Na-rae's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul in April and stealing tens of millions of won worth of luxury goods and running away. Some of the stolen items are said to have been attempted to be disposed of as stolen goods. He reportedly stated in a police investigation that he did not know that the house was Park Na-rae's house.
