Earlier on the 1st, a video of Jung Sang-soo shouting "Yoon Again" spread on online communities and social media while performing with students on the stage of the Chungam High School Festival (Chungam Festival) held on the 31st of last month.
In the video, Jeong Sang-soo called a student on the stage and asked "What is the pride of Chungam High School?" and the student answered "Yoon Suk Yeol". In response, Jung Sang-soo "I was holding it in so as not to say it either. Then I'll do it, too`````````````````.
When this comment spread, Internet users said "It was inappropriate in the presence of students." was criticized.
As the controversy grew, Chungam High School's student council issued a statement saying, "The remark is not related to Chungam High School or Chungamje's position, and the school or student council has not requested it or discussed it in advance." he said. "This incident happened when Jung Sang-soo invited other school students to the stage, and it is a personal statement. Please refrain from criticizing the school and its students," he said.
Afterwards, Jung Sang-soo posted an apology video on his personal account and made a political statement that he should not have made on the stage of the Chungam High School Festival. "I am deeply sorry for causing damage to the principal, faculty and students.", he apologized.
"I usually don't take either side politically, and I don't know much about politics," he explained. "I was interviewing a student, and the name came out and I was excited and made inappropriate comments." Then "I did it wrong a hundred times, a thousand times. I'll take all the blame, and I'll take all the responsibility," he added.
Jung Sang-soo is a rapper who made his name known through the Mnet 'Show Me the Money' series in 2009. However, it has since caused controversy after being investigated by the police several times for various crimes such as drunk rampage, assault, drunk driving, and obstruction of justice.
