51st anniversary of opening Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital to achieve your dream with the spirit of human love

Soon Chun Hyang University Seoul Hospital celebrated its 51st anniversary on April 2. Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital was opened in 1974 by Dr. Seo Seok-jo with the spirit of "順鄕" of human love and respect for life to create a hometown where people practice under the will of heaven under the direction of sincerity, service, and research. It is the first medical corporation in Korea.

Soon Chun Hyang University Seoul Hospital, which celebrated its birthday, held a ceremony to commemorate the 51st anniversary of its opening at Dongeun Grand Auditorium, reflecting on the spirit of human love, and vowed a new start of hope.

It also awarded commendations for long-term service and model employees. Long-term service was awarded to one person for 40 years, 22 people for 30 years, including Kim Jin-oh, a professor of gastroenterology, 22 people for 20 years, including Kim Chul-han, a plastic surgery professor, and 40 people for 10 years, including Kwon Gyeom-il, a neurologist.

The commendation of exemplary staff was given to 10 faculty members, including Yoo Jae-hwa, a professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine.

Lee Jung-jae, the head of the hospital, said, "I am deeply grateful to Dr. Hyangseol Seo Seok-jo, Chairman Seo Kyo-il, and the faculty and staff teachers who have devoted themselves to the present day of Suncheonhyang."Let's practice small things with hope, and let's support each other, love each other, and achieve our big dreams," he said.

"Our hospital, which opened in 1974 as a small but warm hospital in the middle of Seoul, marks its 51st anniversary," said Seo Kyo-il, president of Dongeun Academy, a school corporation, in a congratulatory speech. "Now at the starting line of the second 50 years, we still have many challenges to solve, but if we walk all paths with passion, dedication, love from sponsors, and trust from patients, we will surely achieve our dreams."

Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital, which celebrated its 51st anniversary, has recently been strengthening patient-centered services by starting kati treatment, designating a local cardiovascular center, operating a rapid cancer support center and a Woori Children's Safety Hospital, and opening a prostate hypertrophy surgery center.

On the other hand, Suncheonhyang opened Soonchunhyang University of Medicine in 1978 based on Soonchunhyang Hospital (now Seoul Hospital), which opened in 1974, Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital in 1979 and Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital in 1982. In 2001, Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital was opened and serves as a base hospital for each region.
