KBS Celebrates JYP’s 30th Anniversary with ‘Dandara JYP’ Chuseok Special Airing September 16th

KBS is celebrating the 30th anniversary of singer Park Jin-young’s debut with a grand Chuseok special titled “Dandara JYP,” set to air in September.

KBS announced on the 19th that the special, named “KBS Korea’s Mega Performance Project – 30th Anniversary Special ‘Dandara JYP,’” will broadcast at 8:30 p.m. on September 16th.

The network has also released posters and still images of the show on KBS2 and KBS Kpop's social media channels. The eye-catching poster features a black-and-white silhouette of Park Jin-young in front of a microphone. The guest lineup for “Dandara JYP” is also highlighted, further building anticipation for the event.

This special will showcase Park Jin-young’s impressive 30-year music career, featuring his iconic mega-hit songs performed with full-band live sound and innovative production. The show promises to deliver a legendary performance, reflecting Park Jin-young’s influential and trend-setting musical journey.




Viewers can look forward to special collaborations with world-class K-pop artists who emerged under Park Jin-young’s mentorship, including god (Park Joon-hyung, Danny Ahn, Son Ho-young, Kim Tae-woo), Rain, Wonder Girls (Sunye, Sunmi), 2PM (Jun.K, Nichkhun, Woo Young, Chansung), and Twice (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu). These artists will come together for a unique stage that bridges generations.

The 150-minute special will air on KBS2 at 8:30 p.m. on September 16th. The recording will take place at KBS Hall at 7 p.m. on August 30th. Fans can apply for audience tickets through the “Dandara JYP” homepage until August 22nd.
