Kim Min-ha met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 20th and said, `Coach Kim Hee-won trusted me completely on the spot and gave me directions efficiently.'
Disney+ original series 'Light Shop' (played by Kang Pul, director Kim Hee-won), whose final episode was released on the 18th, depicts a story about customers with suspicious secrets coming to a lighting shop in the only place that lights up the end of a dark alley. Actor Kim Hee-won's directorial debut and original author Kang Pul participated in the play and drew hot attention even before it was released.
Kim Min-ha said, "I've loved webtoons since high school. I also watched 'The Lighting Shop' when I was in high school, and I also liked the work of writer Jo Seok 'Sound of the Heart.' At that time, I never imagined that I would be in the world view of writer Kang Pul. It was my pleasure to wait a day a week and read webtoons, but I was moved to hear that they would give me a role after more than 10 years. In the end, the stories that people want to see and hear keep going around. I felt that the power of the story was great, and I also wanted to do better."
He also shared his feelings after finishing his first work with Kim Hee-won, an acting senior and director. Kim Min-ha said "What touched me the most was that the director trusted me completely. As if releasing a baby on a playground, he said 'Do whatever you want!' and gave directions efficiently.' He expressed his gratitude. "I couldn't ask the director and the writer why I cast him because I was awkward about something," he said with a smile. "It's just my guess, but I think he would have looked cold when he was expressionless."
When asked if he would like to challenge directing in the future, like Kim Hee-won, Kim Min-ha said, `It's still too far in the future. As an actor, I'm in the beginning stage, and I have to gain a lot of experience, so I think I'll try it if I can later. The director has been acting for a long time, and doesn't he have a very broad perspective. Seeing the director at the scene, I couldn't even dare to challenge myself more (laughs)."
