The movie 'Substance' topped the box office for the third consecutive week, surpassing 150,000 viewers. Despite the entry barrier of the youth rating and body horror genre, it continues to be a long-term box office hit amid a steady response from the audience.

According to the integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on the 30th, 'Substance', which surpassed 150,000 viewers in 20 days after its release, is recognized for both its buzz and cinematic quality, and is expected to reach 200,000 viewers by the beginning of the year. CGV's Golden Egg Index has maintained a high evaluation of 92%, attracting constant attention from the audience.

In particular, actor So Ji-seop is also being re-examined with this box office hit. So Ji-seop is an investor who has worked hard to introduce independent art films in Korea and has imported more than 30 films, including `Madam Proust's Secret Garden', 'Pilomina's Miracle', and 'Midsomma', and has been named in the ending credits. This 'Substance' was also handled by the film company Chan-ran, and So Ji-seop participated as a co-provider. In addition to popular works, he has continued to support art films that are difficult for Korean audiences to encounter, revealing his image as a film artist.

Meanwhile 'Substance' is a non-stop thriller about a desperate confrontation between me and a better version of me. It won 27 awards and was nominated in 124 categories, including the Cannes International Film Festival Screenplay Award and the Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness Audience Award. The Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards were also nominated for major categories, and Demi Moore is set to make her first attempt at the Academy Awards for acting.
