JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Beautiful Than Heaven" (written by Lee Nam-gyu and Kim Soo-jin, directed by Kim Seok-yoon), which will premiere on April 19, released a poster of Lee Hae-sook (Kim Hye-ja) and Ko Nak-joon (Son Seok-gu) filled with warm emotions on the 14th.
"Beautiful Than Heaven" is a transcendent romance that takes place when Lee Hae-sook, who arrived in heaven in her 80s, reunites with her husband, Ko Nak-joon, who has become younger in his 30s. Lee Hae-sook's heaven life, which begins her second life at the end of her life of death, gives a warm impression beyond a pleasant laugh.
In particular, attention is drawn to the fact that it is a new work of director Kim Seok-yoon's division of 'Life Work Maker'. Director Kim Seok-yoon and writers Lee Nam-gyu and Kim Soo-jin, who worked with 'Hiply'Blindly'Tong', joined forces once again. Actors Kim Hye-ja, Son Seok-gu, Han Ji-min, Lee Jung-eun, Cheon Ho-jin, and Ryu Deok-hwan, who give trust only by their names, are heating up the expectations of drama fans.
The poster released on the day shows the happy moments of Lee Hae-sook and the late Nak-joon couple who reunited after their deaths, not separation. It is not clear where the two people who met again in heaven finally reached each other, but the smile toward the same place as their hands in the blinding golden background somehow warms the heart. The phrase 'I want you to be happy' added on top of that also attracts attention. The two people's affectionate sincerity for each other's happiness rather than their own is conveyed, making their hearts ache.
On the other hand, another phrase, 'Heavenly Ever After', the English title of 'Beautiful Than Heaven', also stimulates curiosity. The idiom 'Happily Ever After' is often conceived at the end of a fairy tale, which means the eternal happiness of the protagonist. This does not cover the bookshelf of life with death, but makes us look forward to the next page that two people who have another life will write. What is the true happy ending between Lee Hae-sook and Ko Nak-joon, who dream of new happiness again with love that transcends life and death.
Kim Hye-ja plays 80-year-old's wife 'Lee Hae-sook', who is reunited with her husband who returned to his 30s in heaven, and shows a lovely acting transformation. Lee Hae-sook, a veteran fighter who dominated the bottom of the field, died at the age of 80, and unlike others, she will live her second life in heaven as she is. Son Seok-gu challenges a different romance as the husband of Lee Hae-sook's lover and the mail carrier in heaven who delivers earthly wishes letters. Ko Nak-joon's life in heaven, who built a pretty house in heaven and waited for his wife, will also face a change due to Lee Hae-sook, who appeared in her 80s. The unimaginable meeting of Kim Hye-ja and Son Seok-gu, who will complete a transcendent romance that has never been seen before, raises expectations.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Beautiful Than Heaven" will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on April 19.
