Director Mingyu-dong has created a new genre of fun that is not limited to one genre but devotes himself to several genres. In addition to the debut horror film 'The Second Story of a Girls' High School Ghost Story', the romance comedy 'My Wife's Everything' and the heartbreaking true story 'Her Story', it has captured the hearts of the public in various genres such as dramas, historical dramas, and science fiction.
Director Mingyu-dong, who has always challenged without limits, plans to build his own genre by breaking away from stereotypes of genres by dominating action dramas through this 'Fagwa'. In particular, director Mingyu-dong demonstrated his directing ability by receiving a series of invitations from leading foreign film festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival and the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival with 'Fagua'.
Director Mingyu-dong will delicately portray the conflict between the killer sculpture (Lee Hye-young) in his 60s and the killer bullfighting (Kim Sung-chul) in his 30s, as well as the story of a human being who has lived the boundary between life and death.
Director Mingyu-dong, who said, `I wanted to make a story that I will meet for the first time in my life, but will not be forgotten for a long time.' predicted the birth of a new action drama that has never been seen before.
Since its first release in Berlin, foreign media have praised the unique emotional experiences that can only be seen in 『Fagwa" unlike previous action movies, such as 『The Hollywood Reporter』, directed by veteran director Mingyu-dong who has conquered all genres.
In this way, director Mingyu-dong will introduce a new genre with an original action that incorporates the unprecedented character of a killer in his 60s and the passage of time.
Based on the novel of the same name by Koo Byung-mo, 'Fagua' is a breathtaking blood-colored confrontation between a legendary killer who has been working for 40 years in Sacred Quarantine, which deals with cockroach-like humans, and a mysterious killer who pursues him. Lee Hye-young, Kim Sung-chul, Yeon Woo-jin, Kim Moo-yeol, and Cynthia appeared, and director Mingyu-dong, who directed the series `Scary Story'`Ganshin`Herstory, took the megaphone. It will be released on May 1.
