Director Yeon Sang-ho met with Sports Chosun at a hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 24th and said, `As a top star, Jun Ji-hyun has great direction and drive to see his work.'
Director Yeon worked with Jun on his first work with Jeon in his next film 'Collective'. Jun Ji-hyun is also attracting public expectations by choosing his next screen work 10 years after 'Assassination'. Director Yeon said "He clearly sets the direction he wants to go. As a top star, I felt that the direction and driving power of seeing the work were great. I was impressed while filming the movie, and I gained a lot of strength as a partner."
Director Yeon has solidly built 'Yeonibus' (Yeon Sang-ho + Universe) by presenting various genres of works. He said "Even now, I still enjoy my work. I don't think anyone enjoys his work as much as I do."I made a mistake while looking at the workIt seems that there has been little thought of '. I always enjoy watching it, and I often watch it."
Then, regarding the direction he pursues "These days, I also think a lot that I want to get out of the frame. That's why I work with Netflix while doing movies for theaters. I want to compete with YouTubers in the next movie. My daughter is also a 4th grader in elementary school, and she watches YouTube a lot. When I saw him making fun content on a low budget, I thought, 'Can't I make it a little cheaper?' Also, while YouTubers create a lot of one-person creations, don't movies require a lot of manpower. In that sense, I had a sense of competition, and I thought that I wanted to make a movie like a YouTuber by uniting with people I know without opening my hand to anyone.
Released on the 21st, 'Gye Sirok' tells the story of a pastor who believes that it is God's revelation to condemn the criminal of the disappearance case and a detective in charge of the disappearance case who suffers from the illusion of his dead brother chasing their respective beliefs. Director Yeon Sang-ho, who directed the films 'Train to Busan', 'Pandae', and the drama 'Hell', took the megaphone, and director Alfonso Cuaron participated as an executive producer.
