According to MBC on the 7th, Jang Shin-young will play the main role of Baek Seol-hee in the new daily drama 'Woman Who swallowed the sun'.
Baek Seol-hee is a single mother who runs a snack bar and is a strong person who confronts the chaebol family for revenge on her daughter. As Jang Shin-young resumes her acting career about three years after Cleaning Up, expectations for her emotional performance are rising.
Jang Shin-young's return is the first since the controversy surrounding her husband Kang Kyung-joon. Earlier in December last year, Kang Kyung-joon was sued for compensation of 50 million won by B, the husband of a woman A, who was identified as an affair partner. The lawsuit ended with the consent of the claimant accepting B's claim, and Kang Kyung-joon said at the time that "I did not admit the irregularity."
Later, Jang Shin-young appeared on SBS 'My Ugly Baby' at the end of last year and expressed her feelings "We can't undo what's already happened, but we'll take it one step at a time, thinking about how to start a family in the future." In January, he continued his broadcasting activities by appearing on KBS2 'New Release Pyeon Restaurant'.
