On the morning of the 31st, Netflix held a production presentation for the new original series 'Bad Yeon' (played by Lee Il-hyung, directed by Lee Il-hyung) at Dongdaemun Square in JW Marriott, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Il-hyung, Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-ah, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon attended the event.

'A bad performance' is a crime thriller about six people entangled in a bad performance that they can't get out of even if they want to. It is the first series production by director Lee Il-hyung, who presented the film 『A Violent Prosecutor』, with the crew of 『Gundo: Age of Civil War』 and"Su-nam" presenting an intense crime thriller together. Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-ah, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon will make their acting transformation with new faces, showing characters who make choices that are 'evil' for their own reasons. 'A bad performance' unravels the tangled bond of bad performance of characters over six episodes.




Director Lee Il-hyung explained, "It's a story that takes place when six characters with their own desires go through a specific event and fall into a bond of evil that is entangled like a thread that you can't escape even if you want to."

'A bad performance' is based on the webtoon of the same name. Director Lee "I saw a webtoon in one place, and I thought I wanted to film this work. I thought it would be too much for a movie. "I thought that I could capture this story in the form of a drama, so I worked on the script for the first time." "When I watch a drama, if I don't make you curious about the next episode, I think about something else when I click on the next episode. I thought a lot about how to make it unbearable without clicking on the next episode. Please enjoy it."

'A bad performance' captures the six main characters being entangled and agitated by bad performances, so all six lead the story as main characters. It is explained that all the actors quickly fell in love with the story that makes them sweat. Lee Kwang-soo "I understood the words that made my hands sweat. My hands were so sweaty that the script was all wet. When I read the script by substituting the actors here, I felt that I wanted to try it with a much richer feeling" he said.

Director Lee Il-hyung came to work on the script according to the characteristics, so that actors and staff members can read it more immersed in the script. In the work, I don't call it 'You're a witness', but I thought I should give more focus to reading the script. From the director's point of view, we have to catch the hearts of those who read the script. So there was something that melted."

In addition, director Lee Il-hyung was worried about how he was entangled in a bad relationship and how to turn it around. As I followed this story, I wanted to get to know it like I was unwinding a thread little by little. This is why the bad relationship is completed only when the six-part series is over. I thought I should recognize that the title of this drama has to be a bad relationship. The script and direction were all carried out accordingly."

The work will be released immediately after the four-week show of warm hearts to viewers. Director Lee Il-hyung shed tears from the first episode while watching 'I also watched 'Fall'. In fact, it's a lie if there's no pressure. After 4 weeks, we're meeting the viewers in a row. We have our own genre fun, so I think you can enjoy it if you watch such a warm humanism story and taste the spicy taste.
