SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Going Palace' is on the rise, breaking its own highest ratings again in the second week of the broadcast.

"Gwigung" (scripted by Yoon Soo-jung and directed by Yoon Seong-sik) is a fantasy romance historical drama in which a shaman who rejects the fate of a young woman and Lee Mugi, who is embedded in the body of her first love Yoon Gap, fight against the octogenarian who has a grudge against the royal family. Even before the broadcast, it attracted attention as an expected SBS work that connects 'My Perfect Secretary' (Na Wan-bi) and 'Treasure Island'.

In particular, 'Going Palace' achieved results that exceeded the ratings of the first episode of 'Na Wan-bi' and 'Treasure Island' from the first broadcast, and in the second week of broadcasting, it recorded a national viewership of 9.3% (based on Nielsen Korea), setting its own record again. Despite the strong competition, it has maintained the top spot in the mini-series ratings for two consecutive weeks, establishing itself as a solid box office hit.

The popularity of 'Guigung' is the combination of interesting settings of Lee Weapon and shaman, actors' fascinating character immersion, court mysteries, and K-precious episodes.

In particular, Yook Sung-jae's performance stands out. Yook Sung-jae plays the two roles of the king's loyalist Yun Gap and the Lee Weapon steel embedded in his body. His performance, which transcends the arrogance of evil spirits and innocence of the human world, is well received by viewers. The modifier 'Fantasy Unbeatable Actor' is not overshadowed.

On top of that, since the 4th episode, Kang Cheol-yi has started to feel excited for Yeori (played by Kim Ji-yeon), and Yook Sung-jae's pure male character is also highlighted. The appearance of Kang Cheol-i, who does not mind the water to protect his youth, gives viewers a deeper sense of immersion.

'Going Palace' has continued the SBS Friday-Saturday drama success story, emerging as a leading role in leading the box office success of 'Na Wan-bi'Lee Joon-hyuk and 'Treasure Island'Park Hyung-sik. Episode 5 of 'Going Palace' will air at 9:55 p.m. on May 2.
