Actor Ma Dong-seok told why he cast Seohyun in the movie 「Holy Night: Demon Hunters」.

Ma Dong-seok met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 24th and said, `I used to shoot '38 Swim' with Girls' Generation, and I heard a lot of praise for Seo-hyun.'

Released on the 30th, 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' (hereinafter 'Holy Night') is an occult action in which Tim Bau, Sharon, and Kim, the dark solvers with special abilities, are thrown into confusion by a group of evil worshippers, and is the director's debut feature-length production. Ma Dong-seok played the role of Ba, who hunts demons with rock-like power and fists.

Unlike the series 'Holy Night', the performance of female characters stands out. In response, Ma Dong-seok said, "When I met with the detectives and interviewed them when I made "'The Crime City', it was true that male actors played villain roles. So it was difficult to highlight female characters in the work. On the other hand, 'Holy Night' revolves around female characters. Jung Ji-so was a really nice and cute friend before he was possessed, so I wanted to save him when he did something bad. Wouldn't it be so scary if I said I was possessed (laughs). I thought that if a friend like Giso plays, he can show a wide range of the process of changing the character", he explained.

He also said why he cast Seohyun, who showed an intense acting transformation. Ma Dong-seok once filmed '38 Sagi Dongdae after swimming in Girls' Generation, and he often talked about Seohyun. Seohyun doesn't eat bad things for her body, and she's a very good friend. I thought it would feel a little more powerful when a friend like this showed me a new look. Like Son Seok-gu, Seo-hyun seemed to have that (reversal) charm. The villain genealogy led to Yoon Gye-sang, Son Seok-gu, and Lee Joon-hyuk, but he thought he would have more energy only when the person who did not show evil acts played the villain."
