Director Kim Seok-yoon said at the JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 「Beautiful Than Heaven」 online production presentation held on the 18th that `Our drama is not a ready-made suit for all actors, not just Kim Hye-ja, but a customized suit.'
'Beautiful Than Heaven' (written by Lee Nam-gyu, Kim Soo-jin, director Kim Seok-yoon) is a transcendent romance that takes place when Lee Hae-sook (Kim Hye-ja), who arrived in heaven in her 80s, reunites with her husband Ko Nak-joon (Son Seok-gu), who has become younger in his 30s. Director Kim, who was in charge of directing, said of his feelings ahead of the first broadcast, `As always, I feel like I'm being evaluated.' `I'm excited to approach the viewers like a gift because I did my best to make it.'
In particular, director Kim, Lee Nam-gyu, and Kim Soo-jin reunited with Kim Hye-ja six years after the JTBC drama "Blindingly", which aired in 2019, raising viewers' expectations. In response, he said "This work was made by Kim Hye-ja, who was next to him, from the planning stage. It was created by the writers who worked with him at the time of 'Blindingly' by stopping the original script work and participating in 'Kim Hye-ja Project'. Even among us, we thought a lot about how to make a drama where Kim Hye-ja can put everything into it. It's almost a customized piece. In addition to Kim Hye-ja, other actors also casted without a script from the planning stage, and thank you for your willing consent. Meanwhile, 'Beautiful Than Heaven' will premiere on JTBC at 10:40 p.m. on the 19th.
