In the fourth episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday Drama 's Life as a Major, directed by Kim Song-hee, and directed by Lee Min-soo, 'Unseuljeon'), which aired on the 20th, first-year residents Oi-young (Ko Yoon-jung), Pyo Nam-kyung (Cynthia), Um Jae-il (Kang Yoo-seok), and Kim Sa-bi (Han Ye-ji) became friends with colleagues who met for the first time in their lives, making viewers warm.
Accordingly, the four-time viewership averaged 5.8% and up to 6.5% based on households in the metropolitan area, 5.1% and up to 5.7% based on nationwide households. (Based on paid platforms integrating cable, IPTV, and satellite/Courtesy of Nielsen Korea)
The residents, who had gathered in the medical office and did their own things, accidentally saw Oi-young's messenger and noticed that she was considering quitting. However, Professor Seo Jeong-min (Lee Bong-ryeon) was giving Oh a variety of opportunities, from writing the abstract of the thesis to assisting surgery and collaborating. Kim Sa-bi, who usually respected Seo Jung-min, complained in a sharp tone to freeze the atmosphere.
In addition, Seo Jung-min entrusted Ohi-young with the mother's doctor who was found to have a heart abnormality. This patient was so rare that Kim Joon-wan (Jung Kyung-ho), the head of the cardiothoracic surgery at Yulje Hospital, also came to the consultation, that Oi-young also needed to study a lot. He sent an SOS signal to Kim Sa-bi, but Kim quickly rejected Ohi-young's request and maintained an awkward relationship. Kim Sa-bi even shocked Seo Jung-min by taking off a post-it with a message to Oi-young. To make matters worse, the tension doubled as Oi-young witnessed this scene.
In the midst of this, when the mother sadly gave birth to the baby, Oi-young, who was the doctor, was given a heavy task to collect the skin of the dead baby for examination. Oi-young, who witnessed the resident who did this as an intern suffering from severe trauma, confessed her fear to Gu Dong-won (Jeong Joon-won), who advised her to be with her friend.
Oi-young, who recalled Kim Sa-bi, who showed interest in the case at Koo's words, pretended not to know that she had taken off the post-it and asked for help "Let's do it together, it's because I'm scared." Kim Sa-bi also held her friend's hand and gave him warmth, as she felt sorry for Oi-young, who was in trouble due to her actions.
In particular, Kim Sa-bi showed a different appearance by considering her own methods to ease the burden on Ohi-young's mind. The two politely declared their deaths for the baby and made the viewers feel sad. Seo Jung-min also comforted the mother who had to endure the separation alone under the heavy duty of her friend Kim Jun-wan, adding to the emotion.
At the same time, Pyo Nam-kyung continued a subtle fight with nurse Yeo Joo-yeon (Kim Do-kyung) at a word from fellow Jin-won (Kim Hye-in). This is because Yeo Ju-yeon misunderstood that she sided with Cha Da-hye (Hong Na-hyun), a senior resident, and begged Um Jae-il, her colleague. However, contrary to Pyo Nam-kyung's expectations, Eom Jae-il still maintained a good relationship with Yeo Ju-yeon, which puzzled Pyo Nam-kyung.
Pyo Nam-kyung, who was uncomfortable with the unnecessary war of nerves, recovered the relationship by first apologizing for Yeo Joo-yeon's actions in taking care of her by receiving the patient's vomit by hand. The appearance of obstetricians and gynecologists finishing the day by sharing snacks together created satisfaction.
In addition, the first-year residents, who had a basic dinner alone, went to eat together for the first time and guessed that their relationship became closer. Expectations are growing as to what kind of relationship the residents, who are not expressing their feelings but are slowly permeating each other, will make as colleagues and friends.
tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama `Someday, the Life of a Major' will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m., which will continue the daily lives of first-year residents who became real friends at the same time as they joined the company.
