Director Hong Sang-soo selected judges at the Cannes Film Festival following Park Chan-wook and Song Kang-ho

On the 28th (local time), the Cannes Film Festival Executive Committee announced the judges in the competition section of this year's Cannes Film Festival on its official website.
Earlier, this year's Cannes Film Festival included actors Harley Berry, Jeremy Strong and Alba Lorbacher, Indian director Fayal Capadia, Congo director Diwedo Amadi, Mexican director Carlos Reigadas, and French writer Leila Slamani, as well as French director Hong Sang-soo.
In the meantime, Korean judges at the Cannes Film Festival have been selected as judges, including actors Jeon Do-yeon, Song Kang-ho, Park Chan-wook, Lee Chang-dong, and Shin Sang-ok. Coach Hong Sang-soo will be the sixth Korean to serve as a judge.
Director Hong Sang-soo is a prolific film director who has received numerous international awards. The Cannes Film Festival is also a director who has become an indispensable being, he said, explaining the reason for appointing a judge.
Meanwhile, this year's Cannes Film Festival will open on May 13 and will be held in Cannes, southern France, until the 24th. None of the Korean films were invited to the official category this year.
