In the third episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 's Life as a Major, directed by Kim Song-hee, and directed by Lee Min-soo, hereinafter 'Unseuljeon', first-year residents Oi-young (Ko Yoon-jung), Pyo Nam-kyung (Cynthia), and Kim Sa-bi (Han Ye-ji) gave warm impression by learning how to understand the hearts of patients and their guardians.
As a result, the three-time ratings broke their own highest ratings, averaging 5.1% and 5.8% based on households in the metropolitan area, 4.5% and 5.1% based on national households. (Based on paid platforms that integrate cable, IPTV, and satellite/Courtesy of Nielsen Korea)
First, Oi-young was trying to find a way to comfort patients and caregivers who developed cancer at an early age. Unlike the patient who was calm, the guardian revealed his confusion by asking Oi-young how and how she performed the surgery. However, since nothing could be guaranteed until he went into surgery and received the test results, Oi-young stood by the patient and instilled courage.
The patient, who was hiding his fear alone because his parents were worried, eventually burst into tears ahead of the surgery, causing regret. For such a patient, Oi-young postponed the surgery, risking the anger of Professor Cho Joon-mo (Lee Hyun-kyun), who is known for his short temper. The patient, who had barely regained stability, also thanked Oi-young implicitly and moved her.
When the surgery finally began and the results of the biopsy, which was of interest to everyone, Oi-young ran to her guardian, who was waiting anxiously outside, and told her about it. As soon as all the questions that remained anxious were resolved at once, the guardians shed tears of relief, and Ohi-young's eyes, which were watching, turned red, making viewers feel sick.
At the same time, Pyo Nam-kyung realized her responsibility as a doctor through a grandmother patient who was about to get married three days later. He witnessed a patient walking in the hospital all night with his words, "'Eat well and exercise a lot.'" Pyo Nam-kyung, who reflected on his attitude, who did not have any concerns about what it was for patients, showed his growth by giving patient-specific prescriptions.
On the other hand, Kim Sa-bi tried to seal the gap between the mother and her guardian, who were in conflict due to a sudden pregnancy. The father, who felt sorry for his daughter, who was responsible for one life at a young age, expressed anger, and the mother's boyfriend showed signs of running away, making Kim Sa-bi worried.
However, both the mother's father and boyfriend tried to accept and take responsibility for the situation in their own way. Kim Sa-bi also gave a gift instead of her father, who had to turn around without handing over a gift prepared for her daughter, adding to the warmth by playing the role of Ojakgyo.
While the first-year residents learned the virtues of being a doctor and grew up, Oi-young's feelings toward Koo Joon-won (Jeong Joon-won) were also growing. In particular, while posing for a group photo of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, Oi-young made viewers' hearts flutter by holding Koo's hand first and smiling cutely. It is becoming curious how Koo Won will react to Oi-young's active movement.
The fourth episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama `Someday, the Life of a Major in Seoul' will air at 9:20 p.m. on the 20th, where the daily lives of residents who are becoming increasingly wise in the obstetrics and gynecology ward will be held.
