Director Kang said of the background of the movie, `There is one thing I thought was important"'Toxovirus' is an imaginary virus, so I wanted to make it a story that fits well with reality. I did a lot of research because I wanted it to be a viral story that makes sense scientifically. In the process, he discovered a parasite called 'Toxoplasma gondii', and since it is a parasite that specifically affects the brain, he came to envision 'Toxovirus'.

Actors also challenged a new genre full of dopamine. Bae Doo-na plays Ok Taek-sun, an English translator infected with the virus in the play. He said "When you get infected with the virus, you feel good for no reason, and even a negative person changes positively"I'm full of energy, so I can always dance, and even people who like me have symptoms of falling in love."," he said.
He then said about his character "Taeksun's original disposition was quite negative" and "I majored in Korean literature and wanted to write a novel, but it didn't work out well, so I live as a translator." He is a depressed man who has achieved nothing by his standards. There is a bit of a negative side at the beginning of the play."
When asked about the synchronicity with Taeseon, Bae Doo-na replied, "'It looks a lot like Taeseon before being infected with the virus, and it looks somewhat like it after being infected.'" He said "Love is the setting or philosophy of a virus, but when I fall in love, I turn positive like Taek-sun and feel good."

Kim played Lee Kyun, the only researcher who can make a cure for the virus. He is a man who has never succeeded in anything. Scientist whose goal is to make a cure for depression " "There is a sad story in the family history, so I risk my life and challenge myself to make a cure for depression. The person who receives my research and proceeds with it is Dr. Nam Soo-pil, played by Son Seok-gu, who has an inseparable relationship with Dr. Nam Soo-pil. "
As for his collaboration with his junior Bae Doo-na, "I didn't have to prepare anything and calculate it at all while acting. It was a very strange experience", expressing satisfaction. Then "I can tell you why world-class directors are looking for Mr. Bae Doo-na. He is a valuable actor in our country."

Earlier, Bae Doo-na mentioned Cho Seung-woo, who worked with her in the `Secret Forest' as her best acting partner. When he heard that Yoon Seok would appear on the show, he decided to appear with anticipation, saying, "'Cho Seung-woo is from the same agency and it is an honor to be with both of you.'" I had a lot of fun filming because my senior led me well. After filming 'Virus', he said that his teamwork with Kim Yun-seok was the best.

Jang Ki-ha was an elementary school classmate of Taek-sun, who was infected with the virus, and played as a car dealer, Yeon-woo. He said "Yeonwoo always sends sales texts to his classmates to buy a car. However, when Taec-seon receives my text and appears at the store, he becomes entangled in a situation about 'Toxovirus'. In a way, it is the most ordinary character among the characters, and it is fun to draw the ordinary character panicking when he is in a special situation."
He then talked about the similarities between himself and the character. Jang Ki-ha "Since I don't have much acting experience, I don't think the director could have made me do a character that is far from me. I think it's similar to Yeonwoo. While living a normal life, I got caught up in something ridiculous, but it's unfair to think about it again. It was like that while acting," he said with a smile.
Jang Ki-ha previously played an active role as the music director of the films 'smuggling' and 'Veteran2'. In 'Virus', he met the audience as an actor and watched the script, but my portion was larger than I thought. I've done sitcoms before, but I've never appeared in a movie before, so I turned them down because I felt pressured. But Kim Yoon-seok said, "People in the movie industry don't waste their work. We'll install all the plates, so they told us to think we're going to play. Hearing that, I thought I was too cheeky myself. I'm not the only one who has to do well. It's a difficult opportunity to meet actors who have worked in the movie industry, but I wanted to make it fun with the thought of learning"He confessed.

Meanwhile, 'Virus' met with the audience six years after cranking up in 2019. Director Kang said, `Since the subject is a virus, the aftermath of the COVID-19 situation around the world was great. So I felt it was premature to release it quickly. There were many twists and turns, but I'm very happy to be released. I hope the actors' brilliant acting, the passion of the staff, and the touching message will be delivered"I hoped.
