KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 『Having the First Night of Namjoo" (written by Jeon Sun-young, directed by Lee Woong-hee and Kang Soo-yeon) is a romance fantasy drama in which a minor role of a folding screen in a romance novel with the soul of an ordinary female college student spends a night with the most obsessed male.
In the play, Ok Taek-yeon plays the male lead in a romance novel set in the fictional Joseon Dynasty. This time, he is a perfect person with both appearance and martial arts, and a cool-headed personality who is not swayed by emotions. However, the emotions that K, a female college student, has suppressed since the first night with Seo-hyun, a minor role, burst out and turn into a straight-up male character who is infinitely honest about love, shaking the entire flow of the original work.

On the other hand, the moment he looks at the next best after spending the first night, his excitement is captured, signaling the unexpected charm behind his cool-headedness.
Ok Taek-yeon, who plays the unusual role of the male lead in this novel, received the script at a time when she enjoyed reading web novels"I recalled the first meeting that felt like fate. He then expressed his excitement, saying, `Everyone must have imagined going into a web novel at least once and becoming my favorite protagonist.'
Regarding this character, he explained, "He is a male protagonist on the surface, but he is more of a villain on the surface. He also explained, "He is a character who isolates himself by considering himself as a weak point, which is close to a tyrant and poor at expression." "Nevertheless, the biggest attraction is to meet the next best thing and change the ways you have stuck to for the woman you love all your life."
In addition, Ok Taek-yeon, who talked a lot about the character with the director even before filming, raised expectations by saying, `I wanted to take the seriousness of the character in each scene, and I wanted to express this emotion first with actions and eyes rather than words.'
