Director Danny Boyle said at a video press conference for the film 『28 Years Later』 on the 18th that `I will show you interestingly in three to four types of how infected people evolved.'
Released on the 19th, '28 Years Later' is a story about the extreme fear of Spike, a boy born in Holy Island, where some survivors live in complete isolation after leaving the island for the first time in his life and stepping into the virus-encroached mainland. Director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland returned to the sequel 23 years after the release of '28 Days Later'.
Director Danny Boyle cited original settings and immersive experiences as the biggest strengths of '28 years later'. He said "A lot of fans liked that part. It's often called 'zombie water', but in our movie, it's called an infected person. It has become a movie that redefines zombie stuff as it shows how infected people behave. Fans also liked how the survivors lived. The more interesting point here is that not only humans but also viruses are trying to survive. Through this work, we plan to interestingly show the results of the evolution of infected people and three to four types of how they have changed. "The actors' acting and creative background setting have also become important factors in increasing the immersion of the play."
