Director Danny Boyle said in a video press conference for the film `28 Years Later' on the 18th that `The script was really good, and I wanted to work with Alex Garland once more.'
Released on the 19th, '28 Years Later' is a story about the extreme fear of Spike, a boy born in Holy Island, where some survivors live in complete isolation after leaving the island for the first time in his life and stepping into the virus-encroached mainland. Director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland returned to the sequel 23 years after the release of '28 Days Later'.
Director Danny Boyle said, "The script was good, and there was an amazing story in it."There was a pandemic called COVID that we experienced worldwide, and the scenes shown in '28 days later' were not at all out of touch with reality. When we all stepped out the door, we could actually face an empty street. He also explained, "Because of the Brexit of the UK, which was separated from the EU (European Union), it was naturally included in the movie."
He also thanked his fans for waiting for the sequel to '28 Days Later' for a long time. Director Danny Boyle "I did the first episode with Alex Garland, and I thought it would be nice to do this project again. It also brought the anger virus that appeared in the first episode, and explored how the results led to it. I'm confident that many people will be able to enjoy it because a new story will appear in '28 years from now.'"
