Lee Dong-wook Foreshadows Deep Melodrama in New Role as ‘The Nice Guy’

Actor Lee Dong-wook returns with an emotional noir 'Good Man' foreshadowing a deep emotional line.

The story of Park Seok-cheol, who is the eldest son of the three generations of gangster families, and his first love Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung), who dreams of becoming a singer, is depicted in 『Good Man" (directed by Song Hae-sung, Park Hong-soo, and Kim Hyo-seok).

Lee Dong-wook was a literary boy who dreamed of Hemingway in the play, but he played Park Seok-cheol, who became a gangster for a living. The still cut released this time suggests how rough and lonely his life is. Park Seok-cheol's face, sitting alone in the subway with empty eyes, is filled with wounds and an expression that seems to collapse any moment represents his inner self.

On the other hand, in another cut, he delivers a warm smile and a twist.

Lee Dong-wook commented on the selection of this work "I wanted to work with director Song Hae-sung and writer Kim Woon-kyung. The breath and lines of the script felt special. " "Park Seok-cheol is a person who has compromised with reality but has a dream in his heart, and is an ordinary person who can be seen around him. I met this role and chose it at a time when I wanted to try acting as a melodrama."

'Good Man' will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, July 18 and will be broadcast twice consecutively every Friday.
