Disney+ officially announced the casting lineup of trusted actors on the 10th, along with the news of the exclusive 2026 release of 'Goldland'.
'Goldland' tells the story of Hee-joo (Park Bo-young), an airport security search agent who accidentally takes over a gold bullion from a smuggling organization, getting caught up in a whirlwind of desire and betrayal surrounding the bullion.
Park Bo-young turned into Kim Hee-joo, who became embroiled in an illegal gold bullion smuggling case, and predicted an intense acting transformation as a "female guard the bullion". He expressed his expectations, saying, "'Hee-ju, who is obsessed with human nature and desires with gold bars, will be attractively depicted.'
Kim Sung-chul plays a member of the end of a loan company 'Jang Wook' who seeks gold bullion contraband. He said \'Jang Wook' character has many challenging points, so I think he can show a new face.
Lee Hyun-wook depicts complex emotions by decomposing into a lover 'Dokyung Lee', who is an airport assistant manager and brought Hee-joo into the gold bullion case. He raised expectations for the work, saying, "Overseas location filming will also be scheduled, showing a variety of attractions."
Kim Hee-won demonstrates his presence by playing the role of a violent detective at the Jeongsan Police Station 'Kim Jin-man'. "I'm studying the character by talking a lot with the director," he said, raising expectations.
Moon Jung-hee stars as Hee-joo's mother 'Yeosunok', adding to the tension of the play through a love-hate mother-daughter relationship with Park Bo-young.
In addition, Lee Kwang-soo was cast as director Park, who manages the sub-organization of Hotel Casino Goldland. He said "The script is interesting and all the characters have the charm of being alive."
Director Kim Sung-hoon of the movie 'Collaboration', the drama 'Investigation Team Leader 1958' and writer Hwang Jo-yoon, who wrote 'Killer's Memory Method' and 'Old Boy', are all the more anticipated.
The Disney+ original series 'Goldland' will be released exclusively worldwide in 2026.
