Actor Ma Dong-seok will be the first runner of KBS's Saturday mini-series.

In August, KBS heralded a drama cataclysm with an unconventional programming that has not been attempted so far.

The key is the strategy of organizing Tentpole, which uses star actors such as Ma Dong-seok and Lee Young-ae to present various genres such as action heroes and human crime thrillers. The purpose is to increase channel immersion and broaden viewers' choices by moving the currently aired mini-series on Wednesdays and Thursdays to Saturday hours.




This dense programming has been refurbished as a drama ZONE so that you can watch weekend dramas and Saturday mini-series continuously. It is a new attempt to induce viewers to stay tuned for all generations and to catch both ratings and buzz at the same time.

The first production of the Toy Miniseries was confirmed to be 'Twelve' starring Ma Dong-seok. 'Twelve' is an eight-part action hero film in which 12 angels battle against a band of evil to protect the human world. It is a work that elaborates the story of the 12 god character corps with an unrivaled worldview of oriental cultural motifs. Armed with powerful casts such as Taesan (Ma Dong-seok), Ogwi (Park Hyung-sik), Won-seung (Seo In-guk), Marok (Sung Dong-il), and Mir (Lee Joo-bin), 'twlv' is expected to become a new standard for Korean hero dramas.

The movie starring Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang, which is scheduled to premiere in September, is about a precarious and secret partnership between an ordinary parent and a secret teacher. Eun-soo (Lee Young-ae), a parent who wants to protect her family, and Lee Kyung (Kim Young-kwang), an unknown teacher, are woven into a single drug bag, and the exciting story and thrilling action of veteran detective Tae-gu (Park Yong-woo) chase them are captured in a well-made crime thriller.




KBS said that it will target not only the family-level viewers who love existing weekend dramas but also the 2049 core target audience during the weekend prime time at the same time. He also said, `We intend to regain the reputation of the drama kingdom with expectations for Ma Dong-seok, an actor who plays a big role in the movie screen, and Lee Young-ae, an actor who returned to KBS after 26 years.'

Meanwhile 'twlv' will premiere on KBS2 at 9:20 p.m. on August 23.
