First aired on July 18th, 'Good Man' features the emotional noir romance between Park Seok-cheol (Lee Dong-wook) and his first love Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung).
Playing by Lee Sung-kyung, Kang Mi-young is a person who dreams of becoming a singer despite her weakness of stage fright. He is a character who does not give up his dream even while enduring a difficult reality and earning a living. Park Seok-cheol and Park had a fresh love when they were young, and after reunification, they become a spark in each other's lives again.
On the 26th, the production team unveiled a still from Lee Sung-kyung, who turned into Kang Mi-young perfectly. From the excitement of returning to his hometown to the serious expression on stage, Kang Mi-young's complex emotions attract attention. Lee Seong-kyung said, `Kang Mi-young is a brave and warm person,' `I hope that the image of her hard life will comfort and support many people.'
In fact, Lee Sung-kyung personally digested piano performance to sing in order to immerse himself in the setting of an aspiring singer in the play. "For Kang Mi-young, who lives by supporting her only family, music is the only gift for herself," he said. "I practiced, recorded, and devoted myself to famous songs made by the music director."
Director Song Hae-sung of the films 「Fairan" and"Our Happy Time" and director Park Hong-soo of the drama"Human Disqualification" co-directed by Kim Woon-kyung and Kim Hyo-seok. In addition to Lee Dong-wook and Lee Sung-kyung, Park Hoon, Oh Na-ra, Ryu Hye-young, and Cheon Ho-jin are expected to appear.
Meanwhile, 'Good Guy' will meet with viewers at 8:50 p.m. every Friday from July 18th with two consecutive broadcasts.
