ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama `I Shopping' (written by Ahn So-jung, directed by Oh Ji-hwan) is an action thriller about the desperate survival and revenge of children who barely survived the death threshold after being abandoned by their adoptive parents. It is the original Kakao Webtoon, which won the 「Best Creative Award」 at the 2017 Webtoon Awards in the international content market SPP and recorded 51 million views, and is attracting the attention of drama fans as well as original enthusiasts.
Above all, 'I Shopping' draws attention with its spectacular casting. Starting with trusted actors Yeom Jung-ah, Won Jin-ah, and Choi Young-joon, versatile all-rounder Jinyoung Kim (Dex) joins to add to the expectation. The intense cross-generational casting combination of 'Ishopping' has been at the center of the headlines even before the show, heralding the birth of a high-quality thriller that will hit the summer of 2025.
Yeom Jung-ah plays Kim Se-hee, the chairman of a large hospital and running a charity foundation. He is a respected celebrity doctor on the outside, but in reality, he is the head of an illegal trading adoption organization, and runs an `eye shopping' business under the crooked belief that only superior genes should survive. Yeom Jung-ah will capture viewers with an unconventional character that has never been shown in this work.
Won Jin-ah was refunded after adoption, but she plays Kim Ah-hyun, who survived dramatically. Ah-hyun, the leader and spiritual leader of surviving children, struggles desperately for revenge and survival Faced with an unexpected truth. Won Jin-ah, who is challenging the action genre for the first time through 'I Shopping', is expected to show an outspoken charm that is different from before.
Choi plays the role of Woo Tae-sik, a subcontractor of an illegal trading adoption organization and secretly rescuing and protecting refunded children. Feeling guilty about dealing with children, he teaches them how to survive by protecting them. Choi Young-joon, who has boasted deep acting skills through various works, will give off a heavy presence and add depth to the play.
Rising star Jinyoung Kim plays Jung Hyun, a human weapon raised by Kim Se-hee (Yum Jung-ah) and a de facto operator of an illegal trading and adoption organization. Chung Hyeon is expected to lead the tense development as a person who practically runs the organization by obeying Sehee's orders. Another major point to watch is what kind of chemistry acting rookie Jinyoung Kim will show with Shin Yong-bo's Yeom Jung-ah.
