At a special press conference for the 100th episode of KBS2 'Smoking Gun' held at KBS' main building in Yeouido, Seoul on the 23rd, Ahn Hyun-mo said, `I never dreamed that the program would come to the 100th episode.'
The first broadcast in March 2023 'Smoking Gun' is KBS2's leading criminal science talk program that tracks the smoking gun, the decisive clue to the culprit, and tells the details of the scientific investigation and the vivid story of the scene.
MC Ahn Hyun-mo, who has led the program from the first broadcast, said "I never dreamed our program would come to the 100th episode. When I first started, I thought it would disappear after a few episodes. There was no high expectation. I had a short break in the middle after the first season, and I thought the program was really gone. During the tearful farewell party, he said to pray for us to do season 2 together. Nevertheless, fortunately, I was glad that I did season 2 right away so that the break time was not long. These days, many similar programs have been created and disappeared, and I am grateful to come to the 100th episode. Thank you to KBS for protecting our program, and thank the production team for always recording the first episode without losing their initial commitment.
As for the secret of 'Smoking Gun's ability to reach the 100th episode, he cited the production team's influence on submission. Ahn Hyun-mo said \'Smoking Gun' is a fixed program hosted by Professor Yoo Seong-ho for the first time. "The professor has appeared in other programs as an interview or expert, but it could have been burdensome to record in the studio. The professor's joining seems to have laid the foundation for the success of our program. In addition, it does not invite famous celebrities as guests, but rather has people who were involved in the actual case. Even if the speech is not flashy and clunky, those who were in charge of investigating or defending the case, or those who had to be actual victims, and bereaved families will appear. I thought that the hard work of the writers who cast for every episode was really great," he said.
