With the parliamentary confirmation hearing on Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok ending for two days from the 24th, the past when Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok served as a men's suit advertisement model in 1999 has been re-examined at the National Assembly's confirmation hearing.

At the two-day parliamentary confirmation hearing from the 24th, the ruling and opposition parties continued to fight. The People's Power focused on Kim Min-seok's asset formation and family-related suspicions, and the Democratic Party of Korea highlighted Kim Min-seok's past donation history to defend it.

At the hearing on the 24th, Rep. Chae Hyun-il of the Democratic Party of Korea gave Kim Min-seok "200 million won for his 1999 appearance as a model for a men's suit, and donated the entire amount to support children who ate less and to treat tuberculosis in North Korean children."," he asked to explain the facts directly.

When the photo of the advertisement was displayed on the monitor of the hearing room, candidate Kim Min-seok closed his eyes tightly for a moment, turned his head, and held back his embarrassing laughter. He seemed to suppress his laughter when he closed his mouth and shook his shoulders.

Candidate Kim Min-seok responded, `I don't think it's something to tell you in detail. It happened," he replied briefly.

The advertisement was produced to promote the brand of the new men's suit released by Kolon Corporation (currently Kolon Group). Candidate Kim Min-seok received a model proposal as a member of the National Assembly at the time, and after considering appearing in advertisements, he decided to participate, saying, `You can spend the model fee on good things.' Chung Dong-young, a spokesman at the time who was also offered the proposal, reportedly declined, saying, `It is difficult due to the status of a person in charge.'

Advertisements have been used in magazines and product catalogs for a year, and candidate Kim Min-seok donated 50 million won in modeling fees to 18 elementary schools in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, through the Korea Welfare Foundation. It is known that 1.5 million won to 3 million won per school was delivered, and a total of 524 children who were absent from meals were supported.
