In the final episode of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Good Boy' (scripted by Lee Dae-il, director Shim Na-yeon), which aired on the 20th, Min Ju-young (Oh Jung-se)'s runaway and the last all-out war of 'Good Avengers' were depicted. The audience rating was 8.1 percent nationwide (based on Nielsen Korea paid households), breaking its own record, marking a hot ending.
On this day, Min Ju-young eventually set out to destroy the Inseongsi cartel he created. It caused the poison gas terror attack to eliminate high ranking officials and special teams at the same time. In response, Yoon Dong-ju (Park Bo-gum), Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun), Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-i), Ko Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae), and Shin Jae-hong (Taewon-seok) saved people by risking their lives, and in the process, hot team play shone.
In the end, 'Good Avengers' made a last-ditch struggle to stop Min Ju-young's attempt to escape. The alliance of evil, which included Korean-Chinese gangster Baek Seok-chun, Russian mafia Misha, and Japanese yakuza, resisted strongly, but the members did not give up until the end and knocked them down one by one. Yoon Dong-ju followed Min Ju-young, who was on the run at the beach, fired a cool uppercut, and completed a pleasant revenge by arresting Min Ju-young, who jumped into the sea.
Min Ju-young was killed in prison by a prison guard instructed by Yoon Dong-ju's boxing junior Lee Kyung-il (Lee Jung-ha) and met a miserable end. That's how the cycle of evil ended.
After a while, the members of the special team started a new beginning by recovering their lives. Yun Dong-ju regained his routine with Punchdrunk treatment, and Ji Han-na continued her duties in the police commando. Kim Jong-hyun returned to the national fencing team, and Ko Man-sik enjoyed promotion and wife pregnancy. Shin Jae-hong lived a normal and proud life as a police officer with his family. They were all heroes who completed the finale of 'Good'.
"Good Boy" broke the formula of rhetoric and heroics and delivered a heavy message of justice, hope, and teamwork to viewers, leaving a new example of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama. Justice finally beat evil, and the battle of the 'real heroes' left a touching and lingering impression.
Meanwhile, 'Good Boy' ended with the 16th episode on the 20th, and the lawyer drama 'Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of becoming a Lawyer' will air from August 2.
