Director Phil Gam-sung expressed his feelings about working with actor Cho Jung-seok on the movie Zombie Daughter.

Director Phil Gam-seong met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 29th and said, `Cho Jung-seok is like a well-tuned musical instrument.' `I want to act like this and that"

The movie 'Zombie Daughter', which was released on the 30th, is a comic drama about a father of a daughter who has begun top-secret training to protect her daughter, who became the last zombie in the world, and the director of 'Hosteul' took the megaphone.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, 'Zombie Daughter' topped the overall reservation rate before its release, giving a green light to the box office. Director Phil said, `I never thought the movie would be released in the summer. I finished filming last winter and worked on the second half until just before the press premiere. I didn't think that I should release it in the summer because Cho Jung-seok came out, but I was fortunate to be able to meet the audience quickly. Thanks to this, we are getting the energy of Jung Seok," he said.

"Zombie Daughter" is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and already has a large fan base. As for how he came to direct the work, he said, `The humor code of the original work suited me well.' `I can't move the original work as it is, but I wanted to keep the nuance. Rather, I don't think I should try to be funny on purpose. The actors were so veteran that they all looked in the same direction and naturally acted", he explained.

In particular, the script reading scene of 'Zombie Daughter' was filled with tears as soon as Cho Jung-seok, known as 'Daughter Babo', recited the line. Director Phil responded, "Cho Jung-seok only read the script, and I didn't know that so many people would cry. Looking at it, I wondered if the character Jung-hwan could fit better than this. I felt that Cho Jung-seok's strengths as an actor matched this work really well. Also, I didn't know that I could pull off my father's character so well. In the play, there is a scene where Jung-hwan says to his daughter Su-ah (Choi Yuri), 'Good job', and it was so good. Deep emotions naturally appeared, and it was a look from his own experience. As a father raising a daughter, I had a big resonance," he said.

Then "When I said I loved the scene, Cho Jung-seok smiled shyly and said 'Oh, that's a relief." At that moment, I felt that I had a really great connection. This was a precious moment that anyone who has been a father could not express. Cho Jung-seok is like a well-tuned instrument. It felt like a heavenly note came out no matter where I touched it. I wanted to play like this and that" he expressed his admiration.
