Recently, tvN 'Seocho-dong' has been on the rise with word of mouth, and Kang Yoo-seok plays Cho Chang-won, a lawyer with wit, nosiness, and warm heart, completing the three-dimensional effect of the character with realistic dialogue and a living acting tone.
In the 5th and 6th episodes, which aired on the 19th and 20th, Cho Chang-won showed his charm in the process of helping Kang Hee-ji (Moon Ga-young), and the scene of confirming his deep friendship with Ha Sang-ki (Im Sung-jae), who was in trouble due to the spread of false information that he was the eldest son of a chaebol family, was heartwarming.
Cho Chang-won will cooperate with Kang Hee-ji's lawsuit on the occasion of running after receiving a call from the owner of a Chinese restaurant he was close to. The two, who needed to check CCTV to prove their client's innocence, frequented Chinese restaurants and steadily impressed their boss, and Cho Chang-won was always by Kang Hee-ji's side and gave off a strong charm as a loyal supporter. In the process, Cho Chang-won confessed that he is currently in charge of interviewing and defense, and Kang Hee-ji also became closer to each other by revealing her inner thoughts on family history.
On the other hand, when a name that could be mistaken for Ha Sang-gi was mentioned in an exclusive article on the entrance of high-ranking children to law school, Cho Chang-won showed his disappointment and sulked properly. However, when Sang-ki was in trouble in front of reporters in front of the office, he did not hesitate to fly to protect him, and when the misunderstanding was resolved, he impressed viewers with a sincere apology and warm consideration.
As such, Kang Yoo-seok is acting as an atmosphere maker that ventilates the air of the play whenever he appears in 'Seochodong'. Straightforward and subtle emotions, expressions that change naturally depending on the situation, and wit and flexibility that shine even in small conversations maximize the charm of lawyers in their 20s and 30s.
In particular, Kang Yoo-seok's light yet relaxed acting tone is well received for naturally leading the rhythm of the play and increasing the level of immersion. It demonstrates the humanity and wit of the character at the same time in each episode and has established itself as a major axis responsible for the emotional line and fun of 'Seochodong'.
Kang Yoo-seok gained sympathy from viewers with his sincere performance on this broadcast, further raising expectations for future developments. Attention is focusing on what kind of fun and resonance Cho Chang-won's growth narrative will provide in the remaining episodes.
Meanwhile, tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama `Seocho-dong' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m.
