‘Trigger’ Grabs Global Attention, Ranks 4th in Netflix’s Non-English Series Chart



Trigger's reaction is getting hotter.

The Netflix series 'Trigger' was released on the 25th. According to Netflix's Tudum TOP 10 website on the 30th, 'Trigger' ranked fourth in the global TOP 10 series (non-English) category with 2,900,000 viewers (viewing time divided by the total running time of the work) within three days of its release. On top of that, from immediately after its release to today, it ranks No. 1 in the 「Top 10 Series」 of Korea and has also been listed on the Top 10 list of 20 countries around the world.

The fresh setting that guns are delivered by courier in South Korea, where guns are illegal, raised curiosity from the start, and the stories of gun-carrying characters doubled the dramatic tension. On top of that, the performance of Lee Do (Kim Nam-gil) who guessed that he was behind the illegal gun incident and followed it, and the thrilling reversal brought by Moon Baek (Kim Young-kwang) added to the attraction.




Above all, Hoyeon, presented by Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang, properly captivated domestic and foreign viewers. Kim Nam-gil, who played the cop 'Ido' with a gun again to protect justice, took the center stage of the play with detailed emotional performances and understated actions that captured the character's complex psychology. Kim Young-kwang raised dramatic tension by depicting the duality of 'Moonbaek', a key figure in the world of arms brokers. The unique relationship between Lee Do and Moon Baek, which leads from cooperation to confrontation, also provided an eye-watering sense of immersion until the end. In addition, actors who depicted episodes of 'People with Guns' such as Park Hoon, Gil Hae-yeon, Kim Won-hae, Woo Ji-hyun, and Lee Seok played a part.
