MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Merry Kills People' Lee Min-ki reveals the first force that casts the calm eyes of a man about to die, reporting another face-changing acting transformation in his 22nd year of debut.

MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Mary Kills People', which will premiere on August 1st (Friday), is a suspense drama about a doctor who helps untreatable patients and a detective who tracks them.

Director Park Joon-woo, who excelled in action dynamics and human emotions in "Mary Kills People", "Mary Kills People", and writer Lee Soo-ah, who drew sympathy by closely combining the narratives of each character in the films such as "Law of Perfection", "My Special Brother", and the drama "Unemployment Benefit Romance", and "Trusting Actor" Lee Bo-young, Lee Min-ki, Kang Ki-young, Baek Hyun-jin, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Tae-woo, and Seo Young-hee are drawing expectations as they have joined forces.

Lee Min-ki challenges a 180-degree different dramatic performance as Cho Hyun-woo, a terminally ill cancer patient whose treatment is useless in 'Mary Kills People'. In the play, Cho Hyun-woo is an orphan with no family and makes a living by driving a delivery motorcycle. Cho Hyun-woo, who was close to the end of his life, asks for help from Woo So-jung (Lee Bo-young), an emergency medical doctor who helps with assisted death.

Lee Min-ki has proven his unrivaled presence by building a wide range of acting worlds, from dramas to movies. Attention is focusing on what kind of inner acting Lee Min-ki, who is well-known as a genius of transformation by digesting various characters with completely different faces and atmospheres for each work, will add a dramatic three-dimensional effect through the role of Cho Hyun-woo in Mary Kills People.

In this regard, the scene where Lee Min-ki delicately depicted complex emotions such as futility and pain of terminal cancer patients with limited time was captured. In the play, Cho Hyun-woo (Lee Min-ki) walks out of the emergency room with his eyes unfocused. Cho Hyun-woo conveys the emptiness of a terminally ill cancer patient who is about to die with his calm eyes and pale complexion. Cho Hyun-woo then heads to the crosswalk with his wobbly steps as if collapsing in an instant and shakes his balance, raising anxiety. Attention is focusing on what fate Cho Hyun-woo will face in the future between life and death.

In particular, while playing Cho Hyun-woo, a terminally ill cancer patient with a time limit, Lee Min-ki approached with a mindset of "'Let's be faithful to the script' and made a story like that." I hope you take care of your health in the heat and rainy season," he said to the audience.

The production team said, "Lee Min-ki will show the complexity of Cho Hyun-woo, a man who is about to die with his inner acting with a different depth. Please look forward to Lee Min-ki of 'Merry Kills People' who will throw a heavy topic about humans at the border between life and death and lead the work with weight.
