JTBC's new Saturday drama 'Squire: Lawyers Dreaming of becoming a Lawyer' (hereinafter 'Squire') released the main poster ahead of its first broadcast on August 2.
In the poster, Lee Jin-wook and Jung Chae-yeon broke down into lawyers with completely different tendencies, predicting a "confrontational chemistry".
'Esquire' is an office growth drama in which Kang Hyo-min (Jeong Chae-yeon), a new lawyer who is not good at social life but has a clear sense of justice, and Yoon Seok-hoon (Lee Jin-wook), a cool but excellent partner lawyer, are growing up in the same law firm.
The poster released shows the conflicting energy of Yoon Seok-hoon and Kang Hyo-min. Yoon Seok-hoon, who takes the lead with a hard look and a restrained expression, reveals his cool veteran. Kang Hyo-min, who follows, smiles broadly while holding a bunch of documents, exuding the spirit and passion of a rookie.
Especially "The defense is cold. Veteran lawyer Yoon Seok-hoon" and "Law is hot. The phrase "New lawyer Kang Hyo-min" clearly reveals the difference between their characters and draws attention. Even with the same incident, it raises questions about how two people with completely different approaches will create teamwork.
Through a process in which logic, reason, emotion and sincerity collide and are coordinated, 'esquire' is expected to add human joy as well as tension unique to legal dramas. Conflict and growth narratives in the process of two opposite people becoming a team are the key points to watch.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new Saturday drama 'esquire' will premiere at 10:40 p.m. on August 2.
