'Gag Concert' will perform in Japan for the second consecutive year.

KBS2 'Gag Concert' announced on the 16th that the performance of 'Gag Concert in JAPAN' will be held at the Ota Civic Hall Aprico in Tokyo, Japan on September 3rd.

'Gag Concert in JAPAN' is a performance that drew attention last year as the first overseas expansion in the history of 'Gag Concert'. The first overseas performance of the 「Gag Concert" held at Jeff Haneda in Tokyo in September last year attracted more than 1,200 audiences, including Koreans in Japan and Japanese comedy fans, marking the beginning of a new"Gag Hallyu".

In particular, gags that borrowed Japanese culture, such as sushi and horror movies 'Juon', received great response from Japanese audiences. It also crossed the language barrier and turned the audience into a sea of laughter with comedies of various genres such as slapstick, comic stories, and situations.

This year's 'Gag Concert in JAPAN" will feature a stage of comedians representing Korea and Japan, just like last year. In addition, LED for interpreter subtitles will be installed at the site to break down the language wall and create a time for both countries to become one with laughter. In particular, this performance will be free of charge and will provide more Japanese audiences with the opportunity to experience K-comedy.

An official of the 'Gag Concert' said "After the Japanese performance last year, the local response was very good, and there were continuous requests for performances from Koreans in Japan and Japanese audiences."It was confirmed once again that laughter has no borders..." he said. He added that he will visit areas with Korean-Americans such as the United States in the future and take the lead in the global spread of K-comedy.
